Our guest this week on Pakele Live! with Tony Solis is singer/songwriter Noah Juan and Friends.
Something of a “late bloomer” in the music industry, this 30 year old father of 2 has a natural gift for singing, and his melodic style on the guitar makes him a treat to listen to. Noah got his big break in 2009 by winning a Facebook singing challenge put on by Amy Hanaialiʻi. Winning the contest afforded him the opportunity to tour with Hanaialiʻi and others, including Sean Naʻauao, John Cruz, Jeff Peterson and Chino Montero. The experience also encouraged him to start his own group - Noah Juan and Friends – and they slowly began making a name for themselves by playing island-wide at 1st birthdays, graduations and weddings.
Their easy going stage presence and smooth harmonies have made Noah Juan and Friends a success. With influences such as C&K and Kalapana, Noah Juan is making waves in the music scene on Oʻahu, and can be found on stages in many venues around the island. Noah is also in the process of recording an album with another musical talent, Paul Dunlap (formerly of Ka'ala Boys), developing a sound similar to that of Ka'au Crater Boys and Pure Heart.
Please join host Tony Solis as he welcomes Noah Juan and Friends to their first-ever Pakele Live! appearance on Thursday, November 3 from 6:30-8:30p.m. HST at the Willows Restaurant (901 Hausten St., Honolulu).
