Aloha to all! Welcome! This year we have a very special festival in the fact that we are highlighting the musicians that sailed on the Matson ships and the Aloha Tower events that brought our guests to our islands and the Hawaiian Music! Freddie and Earnest Tavares will have a spot in our "Enrichment Series" for their work with the Fender company and the electric steel! Their promotions of the steel are world wide! Henry Allen will be talking one to one on all topics and we will have ongoing videos of many of Henry's performances in the past years on steel, 1970's on up! An Ukulele band of over 60 young players will open up for Henry on Saturday night's concert! Building camp with Dr. Neil Scott. Open Jam Sessions will go late into the night! Non stop music by special guests on steel. Alan Akaka, Greg Sardinha, Duke Kaleolani Ching, Lion Kobayashi, (Japan) and more to be announced! For information call me at:808-669-6189 Henry and I will be more than happy to talk with you! Posters and more info in February to follow.
