Quite a few new releases in the past month or so:

Howard Ai - "Aloali`i Street"
Second solo release from Howard. He and wife Olana are kumu hula for Halau Hula Olana; their daughter Natalie Ai Kamauu has become an award-winning solo singer.

Kamakakehau Fernandez - "Wahi Mahalo"
Resident of Maui and winner of one of the falsetto contests a few years back. This is his long-awaited debut CD.

Mike Kaawa - "Kuapakaa"
Lots of original compositions on this CD, with many of them co-composed by Mike and Keli`i Taua.

George Kahumoku & Norton Buffalo - "From Paradise"
Not sure when this will be available from retailers, but it's sure to become a collectors' item.

George Kainapau - "Hawaii's Falsetto King"
Recorded on an Ampex reel-to-reel in 1957 at a live performance in Waikiki, the reel was stored away for decades -- never made it to vinyl or cassette. Mahalo to Michael Cord, who has re-mastered it and released it on CD. Great liner notes.

Eric Lee - "Kawehilani"
Veteran of the Hawaiian music industry, this is (IMHO) best solo CD to date.

Na Hoa - "Na Hoa"
Three Hawaiian men who are each awesome falsetto singers. I've almost worn out my copy of this CD already, playing it daily.

Pahinui Hawaiian Band - "Pahinui Hawaiian Band"
Cyril, Sonny Lim, Kunia Galdeira, and steel by Greg Sardinha. Need I say more??

Neal Yamamura - "Reflection"
Former member of the group, Five by 5, this is Neal's second solo CD.
Falsetto and more.
