I just discovered that this episode of Pacific Heartbeat featuring Keola Beamer will be airing tomorrow night (Thursday, May 24) at 9 PM on WHUT. I've already programmed it into my DVR.
I wonder if maybe Pacific Heartbeat hasn't been doing some marketing to local mainland PBS stations--in the last week or so, ours has aired the Waimea Uke & Slack Key and Kamehameha choral competition episodes, with Keola scheduled for next week. Our station's posted schedule isn't always up to date, so we caught the last 20 minutes of the choral program by happy accident the other night, and I'm pretty sure I saw a brief audience-reaction shot of Dennis Kamakahi and Aaron Mahi. The ones I've seen have been very, very well produced programs.
