Ok, I admit it. I'm hooked! I am looking for any players in the Atlanta Georgia area that are looking to get together and jam.

Aloha e Vassar,
Seems as I recall a fiddler by that name.
Where is this "Atlanta" place you refer to?
Somewhere near Muscle Shoals maybe??
Sorry, seriously, I do not know anyone near HotLanta that plays CoolHawaiian. Maybe someone will chime it who does, and you can also check the Member list for how many are in Georgia.
Welcome to "The Patch" anyway!

Hi Lawrence, You are correct about that fiddler. That is where part of the name comes from. I'm sure that somewhere in this crowd of 4 million people I will find a "Slacker" or two. I am just an old bluegrasser that was minded my own business and happened to be looking at my weekly Homespun download deals. I looked at the last one on the bottom right and saw this guy with long hair named Keola. It said learn Hawaiian Slack Key. I said to myself, I wonder what this sound like. I clicked on the DVD and it had about a two minute clip. Well, 20 seconds was all it took. I downloaded the lessons and have been practicing and learning ever since. I have played some form of music for over 45 years and have "never" felt more relaxed than I have been in the last 10 days. Let me know of other learning resources that you know of. Of course, with the different tunings and will "have" to get another guitar. I see alot of people on youtube playing "classical" guitars. Maybe I will look for one of those. Anyway, thanks for the welcome.
