I have just learned that both Moon's wife, Kyoko, and Shadow Koko, son of John, will be there to each share their hula. What a treat!

I was told by someone in the know in Hawaii, that Shadow is going to take John's place as bass player in the Makaha Sons. Keeping it in the family;

That would be interesting! I was told that Shadow is dancing. As is Kyoko, Moon's wife.

I will report whether Shadow plays bass.

It would be great to keep the family tradition going!

The concert was grand, as expected. Early on, Jerome asked how many there were seeing the Makaha Sons for the first time, and there were a lot of hands raised. I was so pleased to see that... the spread of good Hawai`ian music!

In pre-concert entertainment, the local band Hawai`ian Harmony sang many beloved standards, and Halau Hula Na Kamali`i provided much great hula, from Keiki to the Gracious Ladies, the keiki stealing the show, of course!

On bass was Pat (didn't catch his last name) from Orlando, Florida. As expected, Kyoko and Shadow provided many hula performances, and thrilled the audience. The friends who came with me were wowed.

I hope this wakes up the audiences of Colorado, and more concerts are as well-attended! (I saw a sign that said the concert was sold out.)
