My grandkids are home schooled and "Pappas" has been assigned the duties of Music teacher. I know didddly about music but manage to play pretty well with my uke and slack key on my guitar. Where do I start for uke lessons? A music book or something better? My goal is to start a Christmas Family Kanikapila led by the Keikis and Pappas on slack key. mahalo nui!!!

The Canadian James Hill has created an entire music curriculum for Canadian school kids based on the ukulele. He is a fantastic player and teacher in many music styles. Tru looking him up on line. There are lots of Youtubes, but perhaps some of the school curriculum or his books may also be available.
Good Luck and Aloha

Mahalo Allen. I'll look for his link. I almost went to a music store to look for books. I don't want to teach them music; just introduce them to Hawaiian music, and enjoy good company!! Thanks again!!
