I am playing a Christmas recital on the 8th. Still trying to decide on the music but I think I am going to Go with Steve Sano's arrangement of Ke Aloha O Ka Haku--a beautiful arrangement. I may change it up and insert Ozzies intro just to make it fresh to my ears. It's been a long time since I have played it for the folks here in the mid-west and they usually love it. I do for sure!
Okay........so that video came out junk at the recital. We'd all still be very happy if you made some home videos of you playing the songs you did at the recital. We just want to see you play, Bob.
Happy Holidays my bruddah.
Mele Kalikimaka a me ka Hau'oli Makahiki Hou to everybody here on Taropatch.
I recorded it on my 4 channel tascam just a while ago and I will put an audio slide show of it on youtube after work today. I will also post a link here. I nearly got it done at lunch time but need a little more time to make it better. The audio will be straight from my recorder (2 feet away) with no changes but it sounds ok. Good enough anyway :) Happy to oblige. Bob
This is a link to me playing "Ke Aloha O Ka Haku". I was a guest player at my ex-teacher's student rectial. The video did not turn out well so I made a quick audio recording today. I tried to do a "slide show" this time just for fun. I played better on this recording than I did at the recital
Thanks Andy. I had trouble finding out how to disable the auto-play on youtube but finally got it figured out. I really wasn't trying to make my visitors listen to all my videos LOL! Oh, and the slide show was not very good. I rushed to post it and may re-do it later with more and wider variety of pictures.
