hi, all --
I'm looking for some Linux software which can print tablature. I've been using TuxGuitar 1.2, which is nice because it can import my older Power Tab Pro files.
However, TuxGuitar printing is not working well. It presumes A4 paper, which is slightly narrower and longer than US Letter size. And the left margin is too big. So the tabs print off the right margin, and off the bottom. Exporting to PDF gives a file hard-coded for A4.
Anyone have a fix, or an alternate package recommendation?
Thanks muchly,
John

hi, again --
I found a work-around: export to PDF, then use Adobe Reader's "fit to printable area" option. It knows my printer uses US Letter size, so it shrinks to fit. However, notes are really large, and print quality not so great. But it works.
In the future, I'll try exporting to Lilypond format, then printing from Lilypond. This is score-printing software, based on an entirely text-based file, so promises to be more tweak-able ... but tedious.
There is another project, Musescore, which promises tab support in version 2, but that's still in β. But Musescore has an easier GUI interface.
