Does anyone have any information on the mele I Ali'i No 'Oe? It's listed as "traditional," and I would like to find some historical context. When was it written, what might be the kaona, etc.
go to: Huapala.org it's the first song under the "I". I would have cut and pasted, but it messes up their wonderful format...both words and translation...and sometimes they go into the hidden meanings etc...but didn't see it on this.
It is the best Hawaiian lyrics--with translation-- site around!
