Itʻs been a few years since Iʻve been in touch here on TP. Instead, I jusʻ move to Hawaiʻi, play slack key, tell stories and farm. Anyway, Iʻm very pleased to have just come out with a CD, "Naʻau Hoʻomaikaʻi", of a dozen original slack key instrumentals and mele (English and Hawaiian lyrics). Iʻm especially blessed to be joined by George Kahumoku, Jr., Ledward Kaapana, Jeff Peterson, Kimo West, Kevin Brown, Peter Rowan, David Phillips and my ʻohana on various tracks. My website is www.peterwing.net, CD Baby is http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/peterwing and FaceBook (which I hardly do) is PeterBwopWing. Itʻs a dozen love songs about ʻohana, special places, the spiritual path and cows, and dedicated to Dennis Kamakahi. Please check it out, and enjoy! (Andy- sorry if Iʻm posting in the wrong place, itʻs been too long. Put this where you think is best.)

I finally managed to listen to Peter's New CD.
I must say that it sounds pretty good throughout.
Impressive that nearly all the tunes/songs are originals.
Yes - Congrats on the accomplishment!
I am now a part-time DJ on KKUP Radio FM and KKUP.org streaming and played a couple of Peter's tunes on the air for the program "Hawaii and Beyond the Reef" which broadcasts on Wednesday mornings from Midnight to 3AM. I am filling in for awhile on this time slot for a programmer who departed, so it was nice to have some new stuffs to play.

Congratulations on moving to your dream life place... Chasing one's dreams is so good, catching one is a slice of Heaven on Earth.
I guess to see y'all we'll have to make it back to Uncle George's camp to see you and others. And Super Congratulations on the songs recorded and shared. Kapila!

Aloha mai! Yes, this is Heaven on Earth. Although Iʻve never worked as hard as I have since "retiring" to our farm, itʻs wonderful to belong to a bit of the ʻāina. Hope youʻll return to these shores! |

Aloha hou. Iʻll be back on the Continent soon, and doing a Bay Area CD release party at Aliceʻs Restaurant in Skylonda (Rte.s 84 & 35 intersection, above Palo Alto) on Thursday, Sept. 8th from 7 to 9 p.m.. The ʻohana will be with me, as well as David Phillips, and perhaps surprise guests. Hope I can see some of you Bay Area slackers! |

upon further listening, very nice, --the "tones" and feel are so nice... AND a great list of guest stars. You've always studied the language and culture deeply, and it shows. Living on the Island must have an additional boost to the feel.... Congratulations again. And to Lawrence, you are also 100% original!
and of course, Thanks Lawrence for my guided tour of Palo Alto...it was 100% fun. (Do I have to return the Google bike now?) |

Well... I am very nearly 100% original... (But my DNA says otherwise!)
As far as the Google Bike goes, just leave it in a park somewhere in downtown Denver and the Google Earth Satellite will "ogle" it and they will send out a Google Express Drone to pick it up. Or a team of dedicated Google consultants (they don't like to have very many actual employees) will relay race it back to the Googleplex.
