Wow! I didn't even know that existed, or I would have listened sooner. It will play in the background while I work this morning. |

We even did a couple of member CD projects back in 04 and 05. I don't know if I can find my copies though. |

I let it play through entirety while writing a report this morning. Since I joined taropatch in fall 2006, I missed the Soundclick and member CD. Better late than never...... |

For me, a great glimpse into recent history that I missed. Is it possible to still add to the soundclick stuff? |

Nice to hear "Rejoice: Little Grass Shack". Mike Morrow had a great sense of humor, a Zen demeanor, and it's a joy to hear and remember. Thanks for the memories, Mike and all from this 2004 live cut from our first Kahumoku music camp. |

I mean ReJOYCE! the secret of any great Hawaiian act...the hula dancers! And our ringer that night was Joyce who also sings and was part of our slack key guitar gang. Pretty sure this is 2004, First camp for us, we somehow ended up at George's camp, and along with my Goodall guitar, uke, and just in case, we threw in the fiddle. This song was the first time I'd gotten it out of the case. And what helped inspire us to go, besides a good talk with George Kahumoku, was our friend (another Colorado soul) Konabob, who introduced us to Hawaii, AND Hawaiian music when he gave us a mix of tunes to listen to as we did the "Big Island Revealed" circle of BI. And he played his invention, the Kona Walking stick (3 string, slack key bass (tuned GBD), made of Koa and folds to carry on a plane. As a musician and school teacher, I thought (in sorta 10th grade thinking) "hey, I can figure this out in a couple weeks!" Of course, it's a Universe, a pursuit for a couple lifetimes. Which continues, with no end in sight. But what we really found was a great community and have met so many great new lifetime friends, which pursuit which also continues. Mahalo.
