Jam, picnic, travel a bit, go to music festivals -- all the things that got canceled this summer. So many events....
We've made do by hosting backyard kanikapila for the ukulele club and for select guitar jam buddies, but our good summer weather is fading rapidly. |

I was involved in 3 outside distanced Hawaiian kanikapila and 2 backyard polka jams. Was good, but not enough.... |

No Hawaiian music here, so it'll be pretty much the same for me as it is now. I'll just keep on practicing and trying to get better myself |

Geoff, keep playing. I played for almost 20 years before I found others that were interested in slack key. The more you play, the better you get. Plus, we have YouTube, Vimeo, FB, etc, for added ideas and inspiration, lacking when I started (I had 2 LPs I got in 1977, that was it for a decade or so.)

Geoff. I am in the same boat here in S. Florida or at least I can't seem to find anyone who really plays here. That's okay though. I just stay diligent and keep practicing. |
