All, I've been away from Hawaii since 2013, major changes in life/jobs etc....
I recently came across an article from Honolulu last year that states to the effect- Barry has been living in his vehicle, is destitute, mainly due to covid. He's not able to gig.
I understand the severe impact it's had on local musicians here in 'New Hawaii/Santa Cruz'
Just curious, is the man really destitute and unemployable?
I ask carefully as being his biggest fan-boy, I'm aware of some other local Hawaiian news stories where he was or may have been crying wolf.
Many had comments around 'he was making 100K a year, why didn't he save' and the like.
I'll explain that one. Me too, and here in the Bay Area of California and Hawaii, it's a moderate middle class salary.
What's up with him if anyone has the wiki on it?
