Momi, that pumkin crunch that you served up at yesterday's kani was out of this world! Can I persuade you to share the recipe?

GS, you gotta come dis side of da mountains fo get pumpkin crunch!

Rich, I've emailed you the recipe.

Neeej, you're the hostess with the mostest. Thanks for letting us take over your hale. Sorry we pushed you out of your own kanikapila!!! It was a great to be playing with you all again and having Mark there was just the cherry on top of the sundae. I'm hoping to get permission to post pix of him with his cool new resonator `ukulele.

Hey, gang! I can't locate my cell phone. Did anyone find it at Neej's? Another senior moment!

Mahalos to Jean & the gang for another fun-filled Seattle weekend. I was pretty zoned from a late nite flight the nite before and two workshops-- but sittin' in with all you hot shots revived my spirits. That and the beer...

It was great to see Rich and play his wonderful new `ukulele-- it is as pretty as can be. Looking forward to seeing that first guitar someday.

Mahalos to Jack for the hospitality. I didn't hide yer dang phone!

I also enjoyed meeting Herb--Baritone-- at the Span 'n Jam Sunday am. Sunday's workshops went well, then I had a nice fish dinner with Puna before heading back to the airport & home.

See ya all next spring, if not before.

cheers,

Mark

Thanks Mark! That Dobruke (Resonator uke) you have is pretty cool too! Look forward to jamming with you again.

Yep. No snawer. I'm pretty sure the battery wore down. Got a new on & cancelled the old one. Just need to get my stuff into it.

Indeed, it was. Here's a tantalizing glimpse of it:

Mark, Thumbstruck, and Puna. When played by itself, Mark's new baby just sounds like a louder uke. But played in a group (at least at Neeej's house), Retro noted it sounded like a shamisen.

On a slight tangent, here are two other cool new instruments I got to see this past weekend:

Noeau's new Pono tenor with a cutaway. Boy, it makes my mouth water. It sounds as good as it looks.

Baritone's not playing a baritone - it's his koa Po Mahina.
Gorgeous, gorgeous.

Once again, everyone, thanks for a great weekend of music.

Eh, Wanda. The picture of Baritone was taken at the "Spam-n-Jam" at Kona Kitchen, the other pics were at Neeej's house. Good music, good fun, good friends, ono grinds.

Well, it was All Souls Day.... the day after Hallowe'en. Slippry's got a skull shirt, too. So now we have a band uniform if we ever gig again.

Thanks for the pix, Momi. Fun was had.

And in one of those pictures, I see a "Uke-a-roo" a well-engineered and fabricated device. Neeej and Rich, take a bow!

Wanda you are really observant. I didn't even notice that. I use mine all the time - do you?
