I loved it---just wish I hadn't been coughing like a pupule nene the whole time. I've kept meaning to look into the open C tuning some more, but never getting around to it...& that's what he gave us. Yeehaw!!! As soon as I get an iota of brains functioning again (drat this virus!!), I gonna mess with same :-)

Yeah Tad. I wasnʻt there either but Iʻm hoping we get to meet face to face smeday. KONA KITCHEN also has gatherings 2nd Sat. of each month. Jeans place is one of the best too so I hope you make it someday.

Hope you get better, Neeej. I've had the same bug since the 1st of the year. For a while I coughed so much that I didn't need to trim my toe nails.
Cyril's workshop was indeed a great experience. It'll take a while to wrap my mind around da C tuning. Great sound though!

Looking very forward to it Al! KK is nice and close but I have a schedule conflict Saturday mornings. Might find a creative way to be absent from that conflict on the 2nd Sat. :)

Aloha,

Fair warning: our next kani has been moved from the 11th to the 12th. Yes, we know it's Easter Sunday, but by kani time you should have had yer fill of eggs, kids, relatives, bunnies.....

Jean (or anyone else really)
I will be visiting the Auburn area at the end of June. I can see in this thread that Kanikapila sometimes happen near the end of months.
Can you tell me at this point if there would be anything going on around the 24th - 28th that a visiting beginner (guitar, not ukulele) would be welcome at?
Dave

Hi Dave!
If you like the Hawaiian music, then you'll love this great group of like-minded people. Beleive it or not we all started as beginners . . . so don't let that hold you back at all! I hope you can join us during your trip, we'll look forward to meeting you.

Don
