Aloha kakou -
I'll be making the long drive north for a series of workshops at Dusty String the weekend of January 20 & 21st.
Saturday: Two slack key workshops, more or less beginner and intermediate, but most folks just take both. We'll focus on tunes and techniques to move your playing along, playing together, improvising, and getting the right feel. I've got a couple surprises up my sleeve, too. TAB. Tunings? Yeah, we'll use some tunings.....
Sunday: A pair of Fingerstyle `Ukulele workshops. Same deal, one will be very basic, the other less so. Learn to play melodic fingerstyle solos on any `ukulele. I favor reentrant tuning (high G) but you can use a low G if you wish. You should know basic chords and strums for the Getting Started workshop; it is helpful to know some inversions and scales for the uddah one. TAB cheerfully given.

& Don't forget Jean's kankawhatsis after the saturday workshops. I can already taste the cookies...
Looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones!
cheers,
Mark
