Aloha Slack Key Students,

Registration is now beginning for George Kahumoku Jr’s Ten Annual Maui Slack Key Guitar and Ukulele Workshop 2007.

This is a special year, our Tenth Anniversary. Some instructors will be staying all week including Ozzie Kotani, Dennis Kamakahi, Bob Brozman, and of course George and Keoki Kahumoku. Herb Ohta Jr, Cyril Pahinui, and tentatively, David Kamakahi will be there part of the week. Others will be Ledward Ka’apana, Richard Ho’opi’i and Kevin Brown.

We have a full program of both Slack Key and Ukulele in the mornings and culture (dancing, lei making, oli) as well as more instrument oriented classes in the afternoon, including Steel Guitar with Bob Brozman.

Our Ritz Carlton show will be moving (for 6 months beginning in June20) to the Napili Kai (right next door) and we will have 2 very special shows on Wednesday featuring our instructors.

As always, housing is separate, so make sure you reserve your rooms or get on a waiting list at the Mauian or Napili Village. There are other hotels nearby and Wilma at the Mauian Hotel in Napili can suggest some infom @ mauian.com

The registration information will be available at www.Kahumoku.com.

We are leaving for California tomorrow and will have intermittent email connections. I will return on April 2 to Maui to receive your letters and registrations. If you have any urgent questions that can’t wait please call my cell phone 808-280-7734.

I am still working on the detailed daily schedule and will let the registration list know as soon as I have finalized it. It will be similar to last year.

Nancy Kahumoku
