Directed, written and produced by Leslie Cole Truglio, Made of Music - The Story of John Cruz provides honest insight into the highs and lows of this island musician. I was pleasantly surprised by the candid interview questions and enjoyed hearing the story of John's childhood days, time living on the East Coast, moving back to Hawaii (releasing Acoustic Soul), and to present. Leslie also makes a point to feature the music (full songs) for all us music fans. I'm very much looking forward to John's sophomore release "One of These Days."

I had the good fortune to see John just this last Saturday night at The Rio Theater in Santa Cruz, Ca. and I have to say that it was one of the most touching and emotional concerts I have ever been to. I have also seen the movie. I would urge anyone who is interested in trying to understand what makes John perform, in the beautiful way that he does, see the movie also. It really helps to explain the range of emotion that he puts out through his music. I also am looking forward to the release of the new cd.
