PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DATE FOR JEFF'S WORKSHOP IN MANHATTAN BEACH HAS CHANGED FROM WED TO THURSDAY! Jeff was invited to record with the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra on May 12th and 13th. He has accepted the invitation so will be arriving at LAX about 4:30 on the 14th. Perhaps this opens up an opportunity for someone else. There are still a few spots available. Everyone that's signed up so far will be able to make it with the exception of Kathie who will be in Honolulu by then. Jeff promises to make it up to her. Aloha!

Nancy, I need to be in Honolulu on May 15th but I'll try to delay my flight until May 14th. I would love to attend Jeff's workshop. He is such a great teacher. I always highly recommend him to everybody. Will the workshop be during the day or in the evening? I'm a slack key beginner, but I play some guitar, so hopefully I won't be totally clueless. If the class is very advanced, I'd like to come anyway, because I learned so much at his last workshop, even when I had to watch instead of play.

I'm sure you'll feel comfortable. The class will be in the evening since Jeff is flying in that day. It'll be good to see you there! n |

I am absolute beginner. I would attend, but wouldn't want to pull the curve of the class down to my level. |
Slow down! It's Molokai. |

Sorry Glen, It's not Molokai, it's Manhattan Beach - - You are welcome to come, but the class will be above your level. My guess is that you would really enjoy the evening and get quite a lot from it. Traffic from your end isn't all that bad. Jeff says he has lots of new material to share with us which will give you something to work towards. We are nominally starting at 6:00. The cost is $35/person. There will be food here; Helene says she'll bring sushi too. Chances are good that if you stick around, someone in the class would give you a beginner lesson anyway. And I hope you go to the Open mics at Kaisen on Oceanside Blvd on Tuesday nights, 6:00 - 9:00. "jus' press"! auntie n |

What do you consider too beginner to participate in the class? If I wanted to come watch and listen could I do that? |

Sorry Cathie, not to have the year in the title posting. This workshop was held in 2009. |
