This last Tuesday I had the pleasure to interview Kanoe Miller at the Hawaiian Radio station where I am a volunteer DJ, KAPU-lp, 104.7 FM in Watsonville, Ca.

Kanoe Miller has been dancing solo hula at The Halekulani Hotel since 1977, and since 1983, she has been dancing 6 nights a week at "The House Without A Key". She has a wonderful DVD called "Romantic Waikiki Hula" which is one of our favorite DVDs.

You can hear the interview which has been posted on our radio station's website at:

http://www.kapu.org/ Just click on the link that says "Norm Interviews Kanoe Miller".

You can learn a little more about Kanoe by checking out her website at:

John, glad you liked the interview, and are a fan of Kanoe. As I said during the interview, if I only had time to do one thing while visiting Waikiki, it would definitely be, to go to "The House Without A Key" at the Halekulani Hotel, and see Kanoe Miller dance Hula as the sun sets an the Pacific. The setting is just spectacular. The music takes you back to an other era, and Kanoe is just the perfect dancer for that venue. The DVD is not only beautiful to watch but is filled with interviews and information about the dances themselves, the musicians, the songs, costuming, flowers and even lei making.
