I am sure this has been covered before but I can't find it.
Has anyone managed to get Hawaiian percussion sounds on a drum machine?
If you have, what brand and how?
Thanks

Bob

What you will need is a drum machine that lets you add your own samples. A sample is a short recording, such as a single hit on a snare drum. if you did not know.

Just about any of the "beat box" machines (like the Roland SP404) have sampling capabilities. What you will need is a decent recording of the instruments you want to add-- and there's the rub, innit?

I've have seen a few sample libraries do incorporate a few Polynesian & Hawaiian instruments. Try a google search on "Hawaiian percussion samples" & see what comes up.

Good luck!
