Aloha to everyone.
I'm new to taropatch on Oahu, but was lucky enough to play with some good slack key musicians in Seattle.
I am here visiting my folks in Kailua and it would be neat to meet some local taropatchers for a jam session. Any local kanikapilas coming up this month?

Aloha Jan,
Welcome to TP. I saw you posted in the kanikapila thread so I take it you'll be coming to Sunday's kani out at Waimea?

Hey, Jan! You gotta connect up with those folks in Waimea - and give a lotta aloha from your Seattle peeps, whom several of the O`ahu players have met!

Aloha Jan. Perhaps you might want to e-mail sirduke58 through the taropatch e-mail. Just look up sirduke58's profile and click where it says send an e-mail.
Please go up to the North Shore for the Waimea Valley kanikapila. This will be the first time for a kanikapila there, and it would sure be swell to show the folks there what a vibrant, exciting group of musicians there are who just love to get together and play. And besides which Waimea Valley has a wonderful history and plenty of mana. And it is very beautiful, amazingly beautiful.

Jan, I heard through the grapevine that Fran Guidry is in Kailua for a couple of months. Send him a PM (through here) and he can help get you plugged in as well. He has been practicing with Led Ka'apana (so I hear).

Send Duke or Derek and email. They hooked me up with two really nice kanikapila while I was on-island. |
