Aloha Everyone!
Timi is now teaching ukulele for a non profit organization in Haleiwa. The classes are free, and he teaches all ages. Timi has decided to upload videos to You Tube for everyone to practice and learn. It's exciting because this way people all over the world can learn to play ukulele! He will upload a new video each time his class learns a new song. For now, there are two videos loaded. One video is for tuning, and the second video goes over basic strumming, and introduces you to "The Fly" song.

If you would like the song sheet, feel free to email me at abrigoohana @ yahoo.com and I'll sent it to you.

Very nice, congratulations Timi! I forwarded those two video lessons to my sister Beverly in Santa Cruz and now she wants to use your lessons to teach herself, on my ukulele, when she's visiting me this weekend. Your video inspired her! Duets with my sister... how fun...

Hey Timi, I am down in Los Angeles visiting my sister Kathie. I used her uke to take your You Tube lesson and I now can play The Fly and it was the first time I ever picked up and played an ukulele! Thanks for your easy to learn lesson!

Lanet, I'll forward this to a friend from church. I was teaching his daughter how to play -- she'll have fun with the fly. Thank Timi for me. |

We're SO happy that you all enjoyed the lessons! There are a few more we just loaded earlier this week, I'll attach the links below. Also, I have some awesome news. I got this email on Facebook this morning:
Timi of the Abrigo 'Ohana receives 20 ukulele for his students!
Na Lei Nani O Waialua a non-profit organization that promotes an appreciation of the native Hawaiian culture serves keiki from age 3 to 17 in Waialua. The Abrigo Ohana is actively involved in this group and offers free ukulele lessons and hula lessons to the keiki. Timi has been volunteering his time to work with this deserving group of keiki. Special thanks to Danallyn Gamiao (Kalei Gamiao's mom) for helping make the initial contact. Aloha, Norman Ukes for Kids Hawaii is a project of the Ukulele Guild of Hawaii
Here's the links to the new lessons:

In the next week or so, he'll be starting to teach more traditional songs, like Opae 'E, and I Ali'i No 'Oe. Remember, if you need to song sheets, send me a message from TP and I'll email them to you.
Mahalo to everyone for all your support!
With Much Aloha, Lanet and Timi Abrigo |
