This is from the September 2001 issue of Acoustic Guitar and includes brief lessons, tabs, and sound files for two songs: A Grandmother's Wish and Wa`apa. A Grandmother's Wish is also included in Keola's video The Art of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar. I haven't seen Wa`apa before, but given that A Grandmother's Wish is a tribute to Auntie Alice Namakelua, I'm guessing that Wa`apa may be a tribute to Lena Machado. Or maybe I'm too smart for my own good and it's just about rowing. Whatever.
