HARA has partnered with 4 Miles LLC, to stage a 4-day festival which will include the annual Lifetime Achievement Awards luncheon (to be broadcast statewide live on island TV), the annual Na Hoku Hanohano Awards (with a new TV station doing the statewide live broadcast this year), plus workshops, mini-concerts, and a slew of wonderful events over the Memorial Day weekend. Uiha!!!!!

Hope to see you there, Andy! The folks who are producing this Festival, are doing a wonderful job -- lots, and lots of work required to stage just _one_ event, let alone 3 full days of it.
Nice lineup they've arranged for the workshops -- the best of the best. And to have time with Bill Meyers is every island musicians dream...he is THE Hawai`i expert regarding copyright law, etc. I'm going to sit in on a few of these worshops...hope to retain at least _some_ of the information these experts have to share.  |
