I can't wait to catch up with Chris after... nearly 9 years?!?! Yes, first AMC in 2001. Feels like yesterday.
I'm looking forward to hearing Chris play and honored that Chris has asked me to join him on a couple tunes. |

I thought I'd post a brief follow up to this post. What a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon (and Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year!) It is a rare opportunity to have a Hawaiian slack key performance within 40 minutes of my house. It was very cool to see a local "house concert."
It was a sold out (~30 person) crowd and as advertised "very intimate." Chris is a fine guitar player and performer so it was a pleasure to watch him share his music and talk story. I have to thank Chris for generously sharing his time and stage with me. What a unique opportunity to jump ahead 9 years from when we last jammed in Puna... and play a few songs together in front of a NJ audience. With no practice, the music flowed naturally. Also making it special was seeing Erica Neubauer, another friend from AMC. I carry Bill's memory very close to my heart. It was a nice reunion. |

Aloha, Andy. That was such a blast I don't even know where to start! thank you for joining us and for sharing your mana'o there at the cabin. It does seem like just yesterday that you and I were at the first camp and boom there we are 9 years later. MAN YOU GOT GOOD!! Karla kept saying over and over how much she loved your voice and that we should try to keep on jamming. I fully agree brah! Lets do it again and keep in closer touch about 2011, we could just pack up the little punks and all hit the road together. ? Any chance you'll be out here in May?
