Keonepax is an instigator! He started the ball rolling to put together folks who wanted to re-create "We Are the World" by `ukulele. He enlisted the help of those who love to play `ukulele and who wanted to share their aloha. These are folks from all over the world, but you might spock Braddah Sam (Olu143), of course, Keonepax, AlyssaMarie, KenMiddletonUkulele, and many more. This is a wonderful piece of music and a wonderful bit of editing from the technical minds that assisted on this project.
I am proud of them for the most excellent job. (And, yes, the kleenex was right here beside me).

That's one of my favorite songs and that version was incredible! I looked at the list of players and was surprised at how many I've been acquainted with through youtube. Pretty awesome! |

Eh, thanks for plugging the video, Aunty Wanda! I had the idea floating around in my empty head for quite a while, but the logistics of trying to actually do it seemed daunting. Without the help of Sebi, I don't think this idea could become reality.
My biggest concern was not being able to include everybody who would have liked to participate. I wish there was a way people could keep adding a line to the song and keep it going. That would really be something! Maybe someday, something like that will be possible.
Thanks again! |
