Auntie is sad she lives in Ohio and has no money to jet set around the world. Sigh. But I know anyone who goes is going to become awestruck by Patrick's amazing talent.

Because anyone who goes W. Va. to teach slack key, now that's my kinda guy!

Knock 'em dead, Patrick.

I can't wait until we can BUY the CD already. Sheesh. I have no patience.

Sorry Wanda
I just got back home to a computer after a long weekend in the Bay Area.
I saw two of the shows... Sacramento and Berkeley. They were both fabulous.
Patrick did a marvelous job putting together a great group of friends/musicians. Lots of aloha on the stage equals lots of aloha to the audience.
Herb was fantastic. He did a couple solos to start off... all requests, different for the two shows. Very nice. Asa Young is great on 12 string and vocals. Very strong, very clear. Really nice.
Kit Madrid on bass.... just amazing. Jeff Au Hoy on steel... what an incredible talent. So nice to see good steel guitar in the new generation. Larry Guy sat in on dobro for a couple songs, very nice. Bobby Santos did percussion in Berkeley and fit right in.
Patrick's mother even got up on stage to dance for one mele....ohh, chicken skin moment.
And, of course, Patrick...he was in his element. Had to drag him back up on stage cuz he just wanted to talk story to each individual in the audience... hard to do with a small group in Sacramento but with the 400+ in Berkeley he was pushing it.
His new music is great, his treatments of the older standards excellent.
All in all a great show. Worth the long drives and time for sure.

Dave

Auryte! Glad to hear all was swell. I know there had to be plenty of aloha.

On Patrick's first CD, his mother sang Kaula `Ili with him and it is so wonderful, so beautiful, so I am sure anything she did with him was great.

400 plus in Berkeley? Wow. That is indeed impressive.

Congratulations, Patrick and all who supported him.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you who came out this past weekend. We sold out the Freight and Salvage show, (they told me last night that it was the most stressful show they have encountered at the "new" Freight) their stress was my happiness!

We are currently in the process of making the CD available on my website. It should be up today, tomorrow at the latest!

Again, mahalo to you all!

Patrick

Patrick's CD Release show at the Freight and Salvage was outstanding! Luckily my wife and I got there early enough to get seats in the front section, right next to his Mom. Patrick, Herb, Asa, Jeff, Kit, Bobby and Larry were on their game and sounded terrific - but what would you expect with musicians of their calibre? Absolutely inspiring...

Aloha Everyone~ On Behalf of LandezaPresents and Patrick, I would love to thank everyone for supporting the kick off of "Ku'u Honua Mele" (My Music World) CD release.

Mahalo to everyone that attended the three shows. If you haven't heard by now, Patrick sold out the new Freight and Salvage, standing room only, 425++

Mahalo to da gang; Herb Ohta, Jr, Asa Young, Jeff Au Hoy, Kit Madrid, Bobby Santos, and Art Sap backed up Patrick and made it an amazing and memorable weekend for all. Larry Guy played double duty as tour manager and dobro player.

It was wonderful to meet everyone and I am very grateful for all of the support and well wishes for Patrick and the new album and our new ventures. We are in the process of having the CD available on Patrick’s website while a distribution deal is being worked out.

We have several major projects in the works for the Summer and Fall so please continue to stay tuned. This is only the beginning!

Mahalo again to everyone for all of the well wishes and support!

Warmest Aloha,

Tihanai~

The show at Don Quixote's in Felton was just super. Plus we had the opportunity to see Art Sap on bass. Truly a great job Art. It was one of the best concerts in a long time. Everyone involved was wonderful. It was such a treat to finally get to see the talents of Jeff Au Hoy on full display. I felt like I was in the presence of Feet Rogers, Barney Isaacs and Bill Hew Len all at the same time. Plus he sings in the classic style of old Waikiki. Herb as always was a delight. Patrick was at his best for sure. Larry Guy played his dobro with pure emotion. What a great afternoon it was. Wanda is right about the CD. Everyone here will enjoy it.
