I didn't want to put this under this week's normal listing, in case it would get lost in all the other listings there.

This is the penultiimiate for me. Pekelo (with the Brown `ohana) singing Koali. This ladies and gentlemen, is traditional Hawaiian music at its best.

Wonderful!

That's Sheldon Brown on the uke, Ikaika, Pekelo, & Kevin Brown (l- to r). Can't remember the name of the bass player. I love this band; Ola Hou is the name.

Was that this past weekend? Wow! I was stuck at a board meeting... until I bailed to go the the steel festival. So much great music in this world.

I'm several months late, but mahalo Wanda for this yummy video! Just saw Kevin and Ikaika in Maui at Plantation Days Festival (Oct 2010), and bass player is another Kevin...last name sounded like Yanamoto, or such. He has a lovely leo ki'e ki'e, btw. Anyway, what a thrill to see/hear them live! The best traditional nahenahe mele around!

Kala mai, Shawn. I misused that word. I should have said "da bomb" instead.
