I'm not very good at self promotion, clearly. Here we are at the opening day and I'm only now announcing the 2010 Aloha Friday in Downtown Pleasant Hill series.
A few years ago our next door neighbor town, Pleasant Hill, took down the old bus station and some other decrepit buildings and built a new city hall alongside a new shopping district. Downtown Pleasant Hill even has a website: http://www.shopdowntownpleasanthill.com/
As I did last year, I'll be playing a couple of hours of slack key instrumentals each Friday during the summer. I'll start at noon and go until 2 PM, in the plaza in front of Pasta Pomodoro. If the music makes you hungry for some island grinds, there's an L&L right down the street.
Many of the videos in my YouTube channel are from last year's series, including a special guest appearance by Ledward and Lehua Kaapana.

Eh Bruddah Art, what kine job you get with 1/2-day lunch hour?
Fran, it's cool you're doing this again this year. I was just at the shopping center last weekend, but unfortunately I can't make it on Fridays--my employer is not as nice as Art's  .
