Aloha everyone! Look forward to seeing you at the:

3rd Annual Gabby Pahinui Waimanalo Kanikpila on August 7, 2010.

This festival is a gathering for musicians to perform and connect and recognize Waimanalo's contribution to Hawaii's Music. The day long festival is free and features over 100 of Hawai'i's best musicians.

In addition to this year's event, we have committed to support fund raising efforts for the Hawai'i Museum of Music and Dance. This museum is a wonderful idea and needs all of our support to make it a reality.

So, please let everyone know about this. We are hoping to present a sizable check to get the museum efforts started.

Gabbypahinui.com is ready to receive orders now.

NEWS THIS YEAR!

Help us support the efforts of the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame to establish the Hawai‘I Museum of Music and Dance – a museum and performance center for Hawaiian music and hula. The Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame has set an initial goal of raising $2,000,000 for planning, design, and environmental study for this facility. The State has agreed to provide matching funds.

To this end, we have committed to donate $1 from each Gabby Pahinui Waimanalo Kanikapila t-shirt sold. A check for the donation will be presented to the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame at the 2010 Gabby Pahinui Waimānalo Kanikapila. Our goal is to raise $1,000,000. With each one of your help this is possible!

Not only do you get a great limited edition t-shirt, your purchase also supports making a major contribution to the perpetuation of Hawai‘i’s musical heritage and helps to honor those who have contributed to Hawai'i’s unique musical voice and ensures the continuation of this annual festival honoring Gabby Pahinui and Waimanalo.

Mahalo for your support!

Now available at: gabbypahinui.com or

Be sure you get their permissions before taking or posting any videos. I would sure love to see some but not unless they give their ok first.
thanks for doing this for those of us who cannot be there.

Yep, Dave, you know I would not put their videos up without permission.

Auntie is going to be in hog heaven. While we are there, we have at least the Waimea Valley Kanikapila, the Waimanalo Kanikapila and the Slack Key Festival, not to mention whatever impromptu jams come along. And so many people to see, so many presents to take. Woo-hoo. I am getting excited.
