This week’s guests on Pakele Live! with Tony Solis are the Kai Nalu Serenaders. With a lifetime of music between them, they have been entertaining audiences for the past three years. The chemistry between Lei Kaapana Aken, Ramon Camarillo, Jesse Gregorio and Dawne Alohikea Keli’iholoka’i was first noticed by the legendary slack key guitar master, Ledward Kaapana. (Lei is Ledward’s sister, and Jesse is his bass player.)

With strong musical bloodlines, influence from the likes of Gabby and Martin Pahinui and Ledward Kaapana, and a shared passion for music, the Kai Nalu Serenaders continue the tradition of classic Hawaiian mele.

Join host Tony Solis for Pakele Live! on Thursday, September 2 from 6-8 p.m. HST in the Pakele Lounge at the Ala Moana Hotel (410 Atkinson Dr., Honolulu). There is no cover or minimum, although your purchase of two drinks or soft drinks helps ensure the continuation of the Pakele Live! concert series. (Note: Pakele Lounge does not serve food.) All ages are welcome, and free parking is available next door at Ala Moana Shopping Center.

You may also watch the show live online at: http://www.pakelelive.com/

(Please email the show at pakele @ lava.net and let us know you’re watching! Mention your name and where you’re located - city, state – or country, if outside the U.S.!)

PSSST! You didn't hear it from me, but word has it that Led might be there - he likes going out to support his sis, when can. If he's there, he'll of course be invited to sit in on a few songs... no promises, but fingers crossed!)
