The Skipper's pretty special to us, too. Ric

It's easier to ask for forgiveness, than permission!

Garsh . . . me thinks you are crediting the wrong Mika'ele.

I believe she [dragonfly213] was thanking and referring to Mika'ele McClellan. He lives in the LA area, has written a slack key book, has helped me learn slack key, and he teaches a Slack Key Workshop at the Cerritos Festival each year.

But thank you Ric and Slick Rik for the supporting comments.

I'm not too far from the leatherneck tree -- me Dad is a Mustang/LDO and Chosin Few -- gave me permission to shout out a SEMPER FI every once in a while! I'll even stand when "The Halls of Montezuma" start up.

E nana, e ho'olohe. E pa'a ka waha, e hana ka lima.

Mike is quite a guy, imho. He played conjunto accordion in a Tex/Mex band at my wedding in 1978. I also jammed with him and his brother (guitar and uke, me on my resonator steel) after the Topanga Banjo and Fiddle Contest this year. Whatever he decides to play, he plays very well. Growing up on Oahu didn't hurt, either.
