Amazingly, Led Kaapana will be in Port Townsend in one week at a very small venue so all seats will be right up close to him. I am really surprised but very grateful that he has agreed to play in such an intimate setting - The Upstage Restaurant. It can't help but be a very special experience. You can reserve a seat or a table for dinner by calling 360-385-2216 or go to their website at http://www.upstagerestaurant.com/. I only just found out about this, so I am putting this notice here in case you didn't know about it either.
Well, Led wasn't at his best for this performance...he was way better!! His falsetto soared sweeter than ever and his guitar work amazed everyone. When he played Whee Ha, each time we thought he had played it as fast as he could go, he just smiled that infectious Led smile and played it faster still. It brought the house down. I particularly loved his nahenahe songs like E Ku'u Morning Dew, Beautiful Kauai and Killing Me Softly.
I'm sure everyone who was there is no end grateful that he came out here to the boonies and played for a small number of us in such a little venue. Talk about up close and intimate!
Fran and all you California Led Heads: You've got a great treat in store. Led is better than ever and coming your way! Don't miss him.
