Here is the link to the music video.

In high school history class, I was impressed and saddened as I learned about Pearl Harbor and the subsequent bombing of Hiroshima. After graduation, I had the opportunity to actually visit the city of Hiroshima and walk through the ruins of the bombing. What I learned about the war in school now became so real to my heart. I had a deeper sense of the pain, suffering and sadness caused by the war on both sides. This experience inspired me to return home to Hawaii and write this song which I named "Hiroshima". I hope that our world will never have to go through such a tragedy again. May this song inspire others to feel what I felt in Hiroshima.

Welcome to TaroPatch, Kris. Auntie is happy to see you here. The was a pretty awesome video, very professionally done with fine music. What touches me is that Hiroshima touched a young man such as yourself. That tells me your heart is in the right place, and that makes all the difference in the world to your music. That's what people can feel and that's what they want to hear and feel.
We all wish you well with your CD.

wow that video was so moving and wonderfuly done as the music. and a beautiful message, bless you. I'll never understand how humans can do such things to eahc other and this world. and over what? territory? religious differences? it absolutely ghastly. People need to stop being haughty and selfish and hurting others and this planet on all levels. There are still so many tragities occuring on a global scale like abortion.
total estimated death from Hiroshima and Nagasaki- 199,000

I'm sorry if it offends you, war and politics go hand in hand though I don't think I mentioned anything about politics. Abortion isn't a debate, its a world wide occurance and medical fact. Would it have been acceptable if I had posted cancer death statistics as an example instead? Its personaly relevant for me because I almost aborted my child who is grown now and is also my best friend and saved my life during my illness. Incidentaly she tryed out my uke on tuesday and loved it and wants me to teach her. Mabee we can write a song about it and make a video too. Thanks for the inspiration. |

Yes, your reference to abortion offended me. I thought this was supposed to be a site about Hawaiian music. |
