We played at a Kiwanis fundraiser for child literacy last night. One of the band members said her daughter had called her Saturday to see if she could fly up and be a part of it. None of us had heard of the event. I don't recall seeing it posted in any of the forums. Did anyone her participate and if so, did San Francisco beat England's phenominal record? Ric

Hi,
Huge thanks to everyone who came out to support the Mighty Uke movie at the Castro Theater in San Francisco, this past Sunday! We gave it a good try, but did not break the Guinness World Record for the number of ukes begin played. However, if there ever was a record for the amount of fun and good feelings for a couple of hours, we easily set it. Special thanks to Tony Coleman and Margaret Meagher for their wonderful look at the ukulele community, Andy Andrews for being so enthusiastic about the ukulele, and Ukulele Dick, Jayme Kelly Curtis and Uni for their performances yesterday.

E nana, e ho'olohe. E pa'a ka waha, e hana ka lima.

In that case, as a participant in the UK world record attempt, I am still technically a world record holder! My name'll be in the latest book I suppose.
