Aloha Auntie. "The Blue Hawaiian Moonlight" is from the LP/CD The Gabby Pahinui Hawaiian Band Vol #1. Gabby plays the steel guitar. The original LP liner notes say that for this song, Atta Isaacs does the lead vocals with Gabby and Sonny Chillingworth doing the backing vocals. The Gabby Pahinui Band on this album was Gabby, Sonny Chillingworth, Randy Lorenzo, Ry Cooder, Bla and Cyril Pahinui, Joe Gang and Atta Issacs.
Recorded in 1974 in Kona, Hawai'i.
What a line up!!! |

Thanks, Norman! I am sure we must have that CD...I am going to go hunting for it and play it.
As usual, Denise did a beautiful job on the hula with Cyril. And her Halloween costume...superb! |

Not only does Gabby play steel, but he overdubs himself TWICE - 3 steel tracks. It took me a long time to sort THAT out! |
