I saw on facebook tonight that Alana (hawaiianmusiclover06) passed away. Alana was a frequent poster here, a huge Hawaiian music fan, and an ʻukulele player.

I will always remember her friendly facebook chats and enthusiasm for Hawaiian music and learning ʻukulele.

Aloha ʻoe e ʻĀlana.

Andy

Oh, no. I remember many discussions I've had with her, here and on other boards. That's very sad to hear.

And Ed, the first time I saw that video and Hoku dedicated the song to Alana, I cried. Now even more so. Thank you for remembering it.

What a shock! I had several chats with Alana (and Alika) on Yahoo msgr and she was a very pleasant person. She lived in an area near my home town. Very young girl. Did she pass away from an illness?

It is good to live one's life so that, when gone, one is sorely missed.

I checked out her myspace link, she seems like a realy nice and fun person, wish I could have met her. Rip

that was nice posting the video of a song she requested. very beautiful song, she has very good taste.
she had listed and a pic with Kealiʻi Reichel, here is a fave video of mine by same, sort of reminds me of heaven and those who have come and gone, no doubt she is playing her ukulele with her kupuna in lani.

A permeating fragrance that comes sweetly
Beckoning to me in the deep of the night
Dream, sleep gently, there in the heart"
