Restoring the Kamali'i, an old Hawaiian outrigger canoe for the purpose of donating it to the community of Kalaupapa, an area in Hawai'i without any access to outrigger canoes. Our crew spent three months restoring the canoe and then paddled 70 miles to the secluded peninsula of Kalaupapa on Moloka'i to donate the finished canoe. This is the first of two videos on the project. The Earth Trot Project is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization committed to the awareness and stimulation of cultures and the environment.
