Wow - some big `ukulele association. Over here we get me, Paul and three other folk from our halau. Good to see you guys! How you like that little bass? One guy who lives about 60 miles south of us plays one and it sounds great, I think. |

We get about 50 people to gather each month, and we've been going for seven years now. I taught the group "Ulupalakua" for a performance at the Northwest Folklife Festival a few years ago.
The more I play the bass, the more I like it - but also the more I understand its limitations. It's the right instrument for a group like this (or the shows I do with noeau), but there are other gigs where I prefer the full bass guitar. |
