For some reason the link above, for Stephen Inglis doing "Tangled Up In Blue" doesn't work for me.
try this one instead. Stephen does these Dylan songs in a great way that gives them new life.

"Ku`u Pua Lehua" -- what fun to see them together! Although Mahela is Marlene's daughter, her last name is Ichinose. Mahela included this duet on her solo CD: http://www.mele.com/music/artist/mahela/my+heart/

I am so excited to see that the Legendary Marlene Sai will be doing a Northern California tour with Kenneth Makuakane at the end of March/early April. I just love her voice and I have everyone of her original LPs.
http://www.landezapresents.com/ click on the "Tour Dates" Tab.
Marlene has a great CD that has music from two out of print LPs. It is a wonderful CD called "Legacy".

And finally if you want to listen to an interview that I did with Marlene a few months ago. She has some really neat stories about herself, Andy Cummings, Don Ho, with some insight about music back in the day:

I got a note from Kathi in southern California about who was making music under the Primo tent at the Southern California Slack Key Festival. Mahalo, Kathi for filling us in:
The singer was Kawaika Vilorio. He and his wife, Leinani head Halau Hula Kawika laua'o Leinani in Diamond Bar.Their keiki dancers also danced during the concert. Kawika and Leinani are very nice and I always enjoy their performances. They share lots of aloha. |
