Thursday May 12 – Saturday May 14 on the island of Moloka‘i.
Now in its 20th year, the three-day festival celebrates the birth of Hula on the island of Moloka‘i. The festival will feature on-site cultural excursions sharing the mo‘olelo, oli and hula of the various places. Evening lectures and a ho‘olaule‘a showcasing the many talents and skills of the people of Moloka‘i.
Back by popular demand this year’s evening lecture will feature original mele composed by the late Kumu Hula John Ka‘imikaua and performed by the members of his Hālau, Hālau Hula o Kukunaokalā.
Also, during the week of The Molokai Ka Hula Piko Festival, Hālau Hula o Kukunaokalā will be hosting a weeklong cultural workshop. If interested please contact Uakea at
