Part of the new “Mele Mei” series of events, this year’s musical guests are ALL Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winners or nominees, including Kūpaoa (prior winner and current year nominee with 7!), Mark Yamanaka (current year nominee with 6!), Holunape (prior winner), Sean Na’auao (prior winner), Nā Palapalai (prior winner and current year nominee with 4!) and Waipuna (prior nominee).
Also performing will be Hālau O Na Pua Kukui and Hālau Hi'iakaināmakalehua, Malia Petersen (Miss Aloha Hula 2002!) AND Mahealani Mika Hirao-Solem (Miss Aloha Hula 2010)! And the hilarious "Boom Shaka Laka" Kumu Hula Maka Herrod (Na Hui O Kamakaokalani from Kauai) will MC again this year. ;)
