I have an older model Fender Acoustasonic Jr and now have a need to run the output to a console. According to the manual, the way to do this is to use the Master Stereo FX Send jack.
This jack is a TRS with left on tip and right on Ring.
When I listen to the output of this jack, I cannot tell any difference between the left and right channels. I have a couple questions for anyone who has used this amp like this or a similar stereo out line.
1) is there an advantage to combining both stereo channels into one or can I just run one channel to the console?
2) what is it about this line that is "stereo"? The amp instrument channel seems to come out equally on both left and right. I did not try the Mic channel but assume it is the same.
3) Do I need a special stereo combiner DI or will any combiner pedal like a Morley ABY work to combine left and right?
Thanks
Dave

I believe the stereo channel is provided because effects like chorus and reverb can sound better in stereo and this was a feature of these amps.

You can use a single channel to connect to the console with no issue.

It's not clear, from the owners manual:

...but it is clear on the schematic that the inputs are stereo Tip/Ring/Sleeve:

Your input source needs to be stereo, or your output will be binaural. Ric
