Aloha to all you ukulele enthusiest... The San Mateo County Fair presents the 3rd annual "Uke Jam '2003" hosted by Hiram Bell on Sunday, August 17 at 4pm in the Cypress Hall Fine Arts building. Come and see some of the bay area's favorite ukulele players. Uncle Vernon from KKUP's Aloha Friday radio show will bring his band, Eono Kane, to share their 'spirit of aloha'. Sorry, due to overbooking, Patrick Landeza will not be able to attend. Other performers include Kathryn Miyahira, Aaron Duffy, Evan Tom, Arnold Tarleton of Koa Jam, Charlie Selhorst, Hiram Bell and more. Not confirmed yet, but maybe Steven Espaniola will bring his Hawaiian falseto and ukulele mastery to the show. Not confirmed yet, but maybe YOU will be picking and strumming your uke at this colorful and fun-for-the-whole-family event. Come early and enjoy the rest of the fair and then kick back for 2 hours of ukulele fun . For more info about the fair go to sanmateocountyfair.com or call the fairgrounds at (650) 574-3247.
