Stacey, I've noticed that everyone keeps telling you how to keep practicing with your injuries, only nobody's addressing the real problem. So, I'm gonna give you an old Hawaiian remedy for a broken hand! But, you can't tell anybody! OK, first you lose the kids! Then you run naked through Ala Moana Shopping Center during the Kodak Hula Show! No...wait...wait! That was the cure for something else (chicken-skin maybe?)... OK...OK, now I remember! Sorry...ever since my board ka' ranged me at Chun's Reef...anyway, I'm pretty sure this is it...hang on...it's coming to me...OK, take two Primo's and soak your hand in Waimea Bay! Ha ha! I'm pretty sure that's it, but you might have to be an "Old Hawaiian" for this to work! Anyway...Break a Leg! Hee hee! No...no...Uhm...Happy Birthday! You know...laughter can be the greatest cure of all! |

Stacey!!!!!!!!!! I didn't even know that this had happened, I was at Aloha Camp and when I got back I became wrapped up in this all-consuming contract in San Jose with a deadline you wouldn't believe.
So how is your healing progressing? I'm hoping that you will be back to full throttle soon. (Oh, I think that term goes back to the days when cars had four-barrel carburetors. We used to have to gun it now and then to blow out the carbon build-up in those carb chambers).
I think often of the wonderful time we had at your home for that kanikapila. I used to live in Sunnyvale and have some fond memories of the place. Please let us know how you are coming along with that hand, and if we can do anything for you, like send flowers or such... Love and hugs, Julie |

Aloha e taropatch Ohana! Mahalo for thinking about me. I'm doing lots of physical therapy to get my strength & range of motion back, but I still can't really play. No kanikapila for me. My house and yard are now a mess too from a few months of neglect. sigh. When I saw Pulelehua (Cynthia) at the Next Generation Tour, she told me this was the universe's way of telling me I need to slooooow down. But aack, how much slower do I have to go?! I wanna go go go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is quite discouraging at times, but I won't give up!!! Thanks again for your encouragement and well wishes. You guys are da best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

There's some improvement? Keep the good attitude, keep at it, and I hope you're back to playing long before you expect to be. |
