Congratulations, Andy!!
Great mention of your _wonderful_ taropatch.net in today's Honolulu Advertiser: http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2003/Oct/08/il/il05a.html ===================================================================

THE LEFT LANE All things ki ho'alu, 'ukulele on Web site
Andy Wang, a transplanted Islander who lives in New Jersey, couldn't get slack key out of his head or heart after he attended the Beamer family's Aloha Music Camp on the Big Island, studying the guitar style (ki ho'alu) with singer/songwriter/guitarist Keola Beamer. So Wong launched a Web site devoted to slack key and 'ukulele: www.taropatch.net.
In a year, the site has drawn 221 members from 31 states. The site includes links, message boards, record reviews and classified ads for members who want to sell equipment.

Mahalo for the heads up, Auntie! Hey, Wang (btw, pronounced Wong), Wong, or wrong?!?!
Mahalo to the Honolulu Advertiser for the mention, but I got to get them our updated stats... currently we have 460 registered members representing 39 US states, Australia, Canada, Japan, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Go `ohana!
Thank you everyone out there promoting this site... Auntie, included! |

Congratulation's Andy & Lynette.
Mahalo for helping to expose more of kiho'alu ukulele and the hawaiian culture.
Thank you to all the members that have helped to make taropatch what it is today.
What an awesome site! Besides Hawaii? I could actually "Live" here. ( Taropatch.net )
Mahalo again Andy and Lynette, hope to see you soon!
Me Ke Aloha Kevin

Andy - you still have a chance at Governor - first of all, drop the hard counts when you give statistics. Just promise the details when you get elected. Next, we'll spred the rumor that "ki ho'alu" is really a drug cult aimed at making men more potent and women sexier. All it will take is a few well placed insinuations. Then someone can take you to court and you'll get all the publicity you need for free. I'd love to manage your campaign but right now I've got my hands full -- working on theTerminator recall, trying to get the voting age lowered to 12, and setting up the campaign for Mickey Mouse -- lots of name recognition there. Yes! Congratulations Andy and fellow taro patchers! This truly is a unique website-you just can't get Aloha like this anywhere else. We are blessed, we are happy, and grateful to be linked to the fine people we have here. And, we have THE MUSIC!
