I heard this song on the Internet Hawaii Radio station.
The title is "No Huhu". Does anyone know who wrote the song, and where I can get a recording of it. Does anyone know the chords to this song?

Thanks.

It was written by Alvin Kaleolani Isaacs and Jules Ah See made it famous. You can find Jules' version here:

http://www.mele.com/v3/info/1236.htm

And another version here:

The lyrics and more information on the song are here:

For your future searches, the search engine www.mele.com is perhaps the best place to find recordings of Hawaiian songs. www.google.com is the best place to search for lyrics/chords.

Several months ago, the Big Island was visited by a French musician by the name of Cyril LeFebvre. He does a version of this song. The extraordinary thing is his web site:
http://ukuleleclubdeparis.artistes.universalmusic.fr/index.htm

It is amazingly well done. If you want to cut to the chase,
and just hear the song, click on this link:

Otherwise, check out the whole web site for some of the most eclectic French/Hawaiian connections you will ever find.

Aloha,

Craig and Konabob,
Thanks for the references. Now that I know where to find the lyrics and sound clips, it should be easy to figure out the chords.
Mahalo again...

I met Cyril LeFebvre here in NJ at the Uke Expo last year. If he's still around Kona, please say hello for me. It's a very small world.
