Just wanted to let you know that the CD-ROM version of the popular Instant Immersion Hawaiian language course, has been released. Although I won't be carrying it at MELE.COM, it's widely available online -- or from the island distributor: http://www.booklineshawaii.com/BOOK/BLH/50399X.html)

How does this differ from the 8-CD version? I have that one.

From the description at the link above, it looks like it makes a nice complement to the audio version...3 CD-ROMs included various software that let you practice, test your pronunciation, and build your vocabulary.

It is 3 CD-ROMs and an audio CD. The CD-ROMs contain computer software that allow you to practice and study on your computer. Based on the description I would label it as supplemental, yes.

Are there any accompanying written text, study notes, or a guide? Some of us are visual learners--especially with languages.
Even if the phonetic equivalents and alphabets have limitations!

Also, there also must be redundancy and duplication of info and process between the two formats. Anyone got both yet?
